Party Diva: Me!

For E’s birthday, he gets to choose what we eat, and who comes, and everything about the party. In the past, this practice has seen me cooking roast beef and all the trimmings for twenty people. Not so this birthday!

Recipe:

1 sunny Sunday afternoon.
1 overgrown backyard.
1 ping pong table.
2 different potato salad recipes.
Any number of different meats brought by guests.
Chips and salsa to taste.
Combine and serve however the heck you want.

Result: A fantastic, no-effort party!

It was awesome! And I could have had cake for breakfast today, but I chose not to. (I had it for breakfast dessert instead!)

E stands for Eric?! I had named him “Ethelred” in my mind… (and many happy returns, Saxon prince! Er.. I mean viking! Viking!)

Rachel, I am going to call him Ethelred and see how he likes it. Ethelred the Unready: It suits him!

OOps! I suppose we rather outed him, didn’t we?

Yeah, but I think he’s okay, outed. I don’t think I have an especially high likelihood of a creepy blog stalker stealing him and making me into slippers.

Geez, I hope not, anyhow. All y’all’s got warm feet, right?
