E’s parents are here. Originally we thought their schedule was too busy to see us except for Sunday dinner (no problem).

Now it seems that they want to spend all of Saturday with us. What can we do with them? Where can we go? I have Host Anxiety, which is a medical term I just made up. Now my stomach is full of knots and Ifeel slightly dizzy.

Good times, good times.

    Art Gallery.
    Granville Island.
    IMAX Movie (dunno what’s playing).

...and then throw them into the bay.

    Should be done by… 2pm?

Apparently they want to have dinner tomorrow night. At my house. Which means I start the housework now, since I’m out all day tomorrow. Oh, the joy.

O Dude! I know. My father and step-mother are coming to STAY WITH ME tomorrow. In North Battleford. In the snow. I have nothing NOTHING to do but talk to them and watch the grandchildren be afraid for FIVE DAYS.

Tell them the stove is broken and make reservations for dinner at the NAAM that should scare them away for awhile.

Gen, they would LOVE the NAAM, aging hippies that they are. However, the poor service would cause them to have heartburn…which would, of course, be a topic of conversation other than Why Don’t You Move To Regina, and Why Doesn’t E Get A Desk Job. Hmm, maybe a good idea.

Hey, Sarah, can you give yours heartburn? It’s be something to talk about. Good luck!

Now I know what it’s called. Host Anxiety. I get that too, but insist on having parties all the time. So I get drunk. Blind drunk. And it takes away my anxiety. But I don’t think the host is supposed to get that drunk…..

Heh, I found that having a bad cold alleviated most of my anxieties.

I almost never have parties, because my apartment is too small, and I shy away from anything that makes me that nervous.
