Driscoll Reid, what have you done to that painting?

That poor painting.
That poor sad lame painting.
Know what you did? You made it better.
Way better.

Hooped (aka The Rohypnol Sketch)

iFilm is showing “Hooped!” by Steam Powered Films

I know these guys, and they’re funny as hell.

Go check it out

They’re #92 on the top 100 for short film as I post this.

Oh, but lots and LOTS of swearing in it, so if you can’t handle 6+minutes of “Did you or did you not f*ck me in the ass” in the style of Who’s On First, forget it. Also might get you fired and launched off the roof of your workplace.

Nothing to say, just diggin’ the tunes

Mostly posting just to remind myself that I dig this song (repeated sample of “I gotta get out… I’m not staying here…”

Neat stuff. Love Groove Salad most of the time, and Limbik Frequencies (or is it Systems?) is usually pretty good too.

[Listening to: Wheres Johny Sabatino (Groove Salad: a nicely chilled plate of ambient beats and grooves. [SomaFM]) – dZihan & Kamien – (0:-1)]

Songs To Wear Pants To

The deal is this: people send requests for songs to the Songs To Wear Pants To site, and if you’re lucky, you might actually get one.

Personal Fave: The “I am Bjork” song (with Lyrics, perfect music, and a somewhat startling impression of her Icelandicness)

Most of the songs are a minute or less, so it’s not too painful for dialup folks, but for full effect, I suggest fatpipes.

There is a CD in the works, too. Yikes.

Thanks to Darren’s site for this one.

I bought myself a toy… a toy ROBOT!

Okay, so a few months ago, I was talking about a Robosapien, and was all thinking that they were going to be these near-autonomous things. Not quite, but they’re a lot closer than I thought it’d be. There’s a manual with it that I haven’t actually seen yet (it’s in my bag, gimme a break), but what you end up with is a little walking, (sorta-)talking robot who can reach down and pick up a little cup and then dump the contents over it’s own head.

Win98SE w/IE55 *UNDER* WinXPSp2? – Sure!

Thanks to Virtual PC 2004, I created a little 1GB partition on my data drive (which looks like the “C:” drive to the virtual computer), and then installing Win98SE. That still takes about 20 minutes to do, just like it always did back in the day. So then I go looking for IE55 (not 55SP2, or 55SP1), and had a heck of a time finding that (I did, thanks to FileMirrors.com)

The fun part was when I enabled the hyperthreading under XP, and then assigned the Win98SE VirtPC to the “2nd” cpu.

Good times, good times.

We’ll see now whether or not I actually got 5.5 like I think I did, or if it’s actually something else.

Still, kinda fun. In a sick demented sorta way.

Must be something in my throat…

*cough*newtoy*cough*

Is this a first step to the dark side?

Not if these guys have anything to do with it.

Do I dig it? Yes. Fast. Small. Loud. Dense. Just plain squippy

Am I gonna use the white headphones? Heck no.

Next stupid purchase? U$100 on one of these. Maybe some time next year.
