  • Not sure “everyone needs one,” but I’m building a Windows Home Server because I know one day someone will want one. #
  • Oh, and have I mentioned how much I’m loving the new highspeed at home? Was 159KB/s, is now averaging around 900KB/s on Shaw. SAME PRICE. #
  • Even if Daily Show is a rerun, it’s almost worth it to watch Cramer receive the “Silver Ass On A Plate Award” all over again. #
  • Speaking of the Ass-Handers Award, “Mark and Brian” are avail online and on-demand: #

  • Looking for something that’ll track time for a small firm. Opensource and simple would be great. No need for PCLaw or anything like that. #
  • Funny – watching people read my hat (those in town who can read it). “Nin… ten… do… doesn’t mean anything – why you hat say that?” #

  • RT @rainnwilson: Where else but SoulPancake do you get to hear Frightened Rabbit and contemplate Life’s Big Questions? #
  • Yet another “What do you mean my memory card is BLANK?” utility. DiskDigger. Yet another thing on my toolbelt. #
  • Good: Making tea for my wife. Bad: Not noticing that her little thingie of milk was off by three days… Whoops. #
  • Finally watching the S04E19 of Battlestar Galactica tonight. 7pm on a Friday is the wrong time slot for us Vancouverites on SciFi channel. #
  • On a Twitter freakout currently. Trying to make up for lost time, I suppose? Next, I’ll have to do another post a day blogging month, too. #
  • Bought control vinyl for turntablism (http://bit.ly/jCsEf) but haven’t fired up Mixxx yet to see if it works. Me? DJ? #
  • I feel ike trying to catch up with an old friend when you know you have to go soon. There’s lots to talk about, but I’ll blog it later. #
  • Arwen’s making an avant garde minimalist sock monkey “who is powerless to do or speak without arms or a mouth” GERMAN. ANGST. MONKEY. #
  • RT @kaylasara: Windows 7 is to Vista what XP was to ME. #
  • Nice piece about what the Kutiman tracks “mean.” “So amazing, so illegal. What are we going to do with you, future?” #
  • Fill in the blank: Take that stuff out of the computer CASE and put it into a ______ and that’ll be a cool computer. (Old Big Jewelry Box?) #

  • Kutiman (YouTube It) is just killing me. If he (they?) don’t end up with a production deal, there’s something seriously wrong in the world. #

  • “Damn B*tch Chillax” Fave tumblr blog I’m reading lately. Lots of posts and stuff, very active. Not always work-safe. #
  • Might end up doing data recovery stuff in the near future for a newspaper reporter. Sharpen the blades for the work. Should be interesting. #
  • My 7yo always sounds like he’s gargling silly putty and jell-o when he’s sleeping. I’m not sure it really qualifies as “snoring” any more. #

  • Amazing what you find when you force yourself to look two more links deep): MonkeyBacon. Odd music Quirky~Chill. (Free) #
  • Finally: a copy of Lord Buckley’s “Bad Rapping of the Marquis De Sade” w/ “H-Bomb” so I can hear entire “People Should Worship People” bit. #
  • Must be a vocal coach somewhere near our house, ’cause the number of people walking South and singing is inordinately high, it seems. #
  • Clapped my hands to shock my 3yo back into bed instead of playing with the fishtank. Now my hand hurts, and I can hear him playing again. #
  • Watching some sort of uh… remix (?) of Amazon Women On the Moon. Or maybe it was always like this, but I didn’t know. Gutenberg? #
  • Turns out Amazon Women on the Moon is a mid-80s sci-fi spoof. I guess I was just… 16… so maybe I was driving around? #
  • Geek moment: Just booted BackTrack linux from one of these, and it worked great. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MicroSD #
