I asked Ripley for a random word, and he gave me “butterfly” and I put that into Google Images.

The New Yorker movie critic Anthony Lane has written my favourite thing about Star Wars, Episode III (Revenge of the Sith).

This review is worth watching the movie.

Oh, and Spoiler Alerts… {Anakin is Darth! Yoda was younger! Padme is pregnant with TWINS!}

My Cat Hates You

Dark room, surprise the cat, she’s hungry, and whammo…

Scariest/funniest photo you’ve ever seen of our cat.

{And no, I didn’t do the eyes with Photshop. Heck, I can’t even make it save as a freakin’ JPG!}

If/when they update at MyCatHatesYou.com, maybe Nick’ll be up there.

But for those of you who’ve received emails to go to http://www.referendumcanada.ca and vote on your take on gay marriage… take note of who you’re voting *with*.
Netcraft’s Report on that link shows that ReferendumCanada.ca is run by MassachusettsUnitedFamilies.org, who are the kind of folks who say things like

Massachusetts United Families is an organization dedicated to defending and promoting marriage and the family in Massachusetts. We are the state affiliate of United Families International.

So, not a Canadian group at all, and not exactly a “disinterested third party.”

Pecked to death by crows?

No Comments »

Okay, maybe I haven’t been pooped on by a bird recently, but I did get attacked by a crow this morning. Bounced off my head after yelling at me from the ground while I walked by. Think it might’ve been due to the fact that I’m wearing the stupid white headphones that go with my iPodMini.

Still… OW!

[Edit: I suspect, after thinking about it for two days, and talking to Arwen about it that what may have happened was that I was too close to a young crow, and that I wasn’t attacked by a young and ticked-off crow, but the mama crow, which performed “death from above” before taking off in another direction.]
