So, I’ve been largely ignoring the Firefox is Better folks, ’cause many of them were the same folks who were telling me to get a Mac, or that they prefer Win98 to WinXP, or to stop eating wheat and dairy in order to feel better about the world. All of that aside, I actually found something in Firefox that I will USE. RSS Feeds as bookmark groupings…
As many of you know, RSS feeds are these little mini versions of news or blog sites, that are designed to be pulled by viewers like Serence’s Klipfolio (not a pioneer, just my personal fave), or one of the growing throngs of others out there. So I’m digging around in Firefox this morning, and trying to find a theme that doesn’t make my browser’s own toolbars bigger than most of the graphics on the sites I go to. I found one, Littlefox, which has teeny tiny buttons, and a very straight-forward front end. Some of these themes are a little outta control, they’ve got a ham sandwich as their back button, and a bunny-with-pancake-on-head for the home. I just don’t get it.
Anyhoo, my start page is Slashdot, and I look down at the bottom right of my screen, and see this little pen-looking thing that wasn’t there at the previous site. I mouse over it and it’s got the option to add RSS feed. I punch it (Chewie), and am presented with a bunch of options for the RSS feed that’s been found on Slashdot. I put it in my Bookmarks, and now, when I branch through my bookmarks menu, I can see Slashdot (well, duh), but it branches to links for each of their current stories. How cool is that?
Okay, so maybe nobody cares but me.

DUDE! I SO CARE
I have been into firefix for a long time ( a little less than a year). You were the one who introduced me to the RSS feeds and I love Klipfolio. I am so addicted to tabbed browsing. I am not fond of netscape or opera (Although I have only tried the free version of opera).
I guess there is also the higher trust in anything not MS, so a lack of IE makes me happy.
Have you saved favs to the bookmark toolbar. That is nice too.
Love the search function in version one that is at the top, and then if you ctrl + f there is the nice text at the bottom.
Okay, I am talking to my girl while typing this, so I have made not understandable reading the things that I typed :).
