wow – 25X optical zoom is indeed a “tight close-up.” pretty new toy…merry Christmas!

Yeah, but for that, you pretty much NEED a tripod. The 800x “digital zoom?” Fugeddabouddit. Might as well go 25x optical, and then zoom in using your media player, for all the “zoom” you’re gonna get.
Still, ‘sfun.
