Over at th’ Cheeseblog [linky!], our hero was talking about the hip urbanite moms (doesn’t sound like “Tha Hoochie-Mommies” I’ve mentioned to people before), and wondering if maybe she wasn’t cool enough because she didn’t own something called a “Hooter Hider,” (no, seriously: check this [link] if you think I’m making it up), and I kinda went off on a tear, so I’m reposting here, ’cause I can’t remember how to do those TrackBack things that put part of your comment on their blog, and the rest on your own.
So Cheeseblog, don’t read this, ’cause you already done didded from your very own spot.

Okay, here’s what I said.
Y’know what probably happened to the Hipsalano moms?
They couldn’t bring themselves to pretend to be so freakin’ chic once a week (sweet: geek speaks with rhymedy tweaks!) Got nothing to do with you and your lack of “hooter hiders” which has now renamed themselves to “bebe-au-lait,” ’cause they have figured out exactly what their niche market is (and because TrendWhore, ™, was already held by these folks – http://www.trendwhorebracelets.com).
They probably also couldn’t think of any more lies to tell you: “Oh yes, my little bundle of joy sleeps 17hrs a night, fills their diapers with Febreeze and cotton balls, and very nearly almost frowned *once* ever…”
Which makes me wonder: If I had walked into that baby store RIGHT NEXT to the Blenz coffee place on Broadway (the heart of Kits, for those playing the home game), and asked for “A half-caf-double-skinny with a barzoolian foam plume in the shape of Phil Collins on top,” would they hand me something for a baby, and NOT a trendy new frappa-cappa-cino-toaster-oven-mocha-whatsit?
Just wondering.
