Windows Live Writer Test 2 (Electric Oops-Undo)

Add comments

I’m running into an autosave bug that acts more like a “save and revert” of some sort.  It’s BRUTAL to be typing for five minutes, rest for a second to think about what you want to say next, and then watch it clobber most of the last paragraph and replace it with some earlier text.

I was doing a little post just now, to give it another chance, and it LOST THE POST I was typing, even though it seemed to think everything was just peachy.  Ctrl-Z to undo?  It put back the last word I had deleted.

Niiiiiiiice.

I think I’ll stick to wBloggar for now.

Also, I found A Softer World via Karlababble:

I’m glad you’re testing out all these new gadgets before I start using them. I read your last entry about Live Writer, and I emailed the link to your post to my geek husband. Of course, it takes him about 2 weeks to get around to reading my emails (because he has 2,000 work emails ahead of mine), so I won’t know what he thinks of Live Writer for awhile. One criticism I have of Live Writer so far is this: I don’t think I’ll be able to use it without contantly singing “I’m a Live Writer” to the tune of Motley Crue’s “Live Wire.”

Oh, and wbloggar is at http://www.wbloggar.com, so go get it there. Might not have all the bells & whistles, but I haven’t seen it screw up (or double-post) on my WordPress 2.x yet…

I’m listening to Unknown Origins number 4 at the moment and that “It’s 1996, and everyone predicts, this is the year that it’s supposed to hit the fan…” song and liking it a lot.
