Is there a link to the photo somewhere? I don’t see one… Maybe Flickr inserts a link. Hmm…

Mythbuthterth Interview: With Adam Thavage

Love the show? Me too. Check out the interview between “TheSneeze“‘s Steve and Adam Savage from Mythbusters. The mostest blowin’ stuff-uppest show on TV. Great fun.

Midway’s Take on Battlefield 2: That’s so FAKE…

Midway lead animator Steve Bowler takes a look at how Battlefield2 successfully integrated real world military technology, and, less successfully, how it paid its dues to unrealistic game conventions…

I don’t know how to say this. This bunny-hopping thing? Needs to stop. Counter-strike pretty much got it right, where you’re allowed one functional jump, and then you’re stuck where you land for about a half-second to a second. Not only is seeing four guys jumping up a beach while you’re trying to shoot them frustrating, it’s also completely ludicrous. Jumping in sand barefoot wearing nothing but swim trunks gets tiring for most folks in no time flat. Now try it in combat boots, full fatigues, and 40-60 lbs of equipment strapped to your back. No, seriously, try it. Okay, but now sprint first. Hang on, to make this simulation more accurate, I’m going to have to shoot at you. No, no, it’s okay, just wear this body armor…

One outdoor rave that goes bad, and you can’t blame “bad sound”

Saturday night our party with DJ Craze and Knick from Evol Intent was brutally raided by 90 officers from SWAT in full combat gear, assault rifles and all.
What’s up with Utah’s SWAT team? Needed to train their guys in “glowstick ops”?

Looks like local media has started out with “yay us,” and is quickly turning to “well, maybe the swat guys got a little outta control…” due to Video Footage of:

a 2 minute clip showing two of my friends Paul and Alisha being beaten and tased. The previously posted video didn’t have sound. This one has audio and is a lot better quality. (They were charged with failure to obey and resisting arrest. tell me that that much force was justified?)
